Kure refillable dispensers save more money and eliminate more plastic than other dispenser options on the market.

Savings Case Study

In this case study, we’ve portrayed a hypothetical 100-room hotel with an occupancy rate of 64% that installs 3 dispensers in each bathroom.

While the upfront investment for refillable dispensers may be higher, the total cost of refillables are lower over time. Kure dispensers will save money relative to alternatives because:

  • The price per ounce, refilling with gallons, is lower

  • You do not discard unused liquids

  • You do not need to periodically replace plastic bottles or pumps

The reduction in plastic is even more dramatic. Using Kure dispensers saves 3 times as much plastic as refillable bottles that need to be replaced and non-refillable dispensers.

The table below compares the total cost of ownership and plastic consumption for Kure dispensers relative to other dispenser solutions.

Assumptions:

  • Cost per oz.: Gallon = $.19, 12 oz non-refillable bottle = $.33, Small bottle = $.42

  • 50% of product discarded when using small bottles, 1.25 oz discarded when using 12 oz bottles

  • Plastic weights: Gallon = 4.08 oz, 12-ounce bottle = 1.08 oz., Small bottle = .3 oz.

  • Dispensers with refillable plastic bottles: Hotels replace bottles every quarter and replace 1/2 of their pumps per year.  Bottles cost $1.80 and pumps cost $3.00.
